Just outside of Bakersfield lies Buena Vista Aquatic Recreation Area. With a beautiful park like setting and 2 different lakes.
Buena Vista is home to two different lakes. One which is mainly used for aquatic sports like water skiing and wakeboarding and the smaller lake, Lake Evans which is a fisherman’s dream. Stocked with massive amounts of Rainbow trout and also home to Bass, Crappie, Catfish and Bluegill.
We ask that you arrive no later than 7:00 am on the day of the event so we can give you as much time on the water as possible. As always the event is free for Veterans, First Responders, Active duty and their families. We provide everything you will need for a fun, fishy day on the water.
All you need to bring is your fishing license, sunscreen and a hat. Kayaks, fishing gear, Food and water will be provided by us.
