Heroes On The Water provides therapeutic outdoor recreation through kayaking, fishing, and paddling.
Show your Military identification to get into park for free! First Responders must present a coupon from HOW in order to enter park for free. Once you are at the gate ask what pavilion HOW will be located at. We will have a banner up at the pavilion as well to identify that you are at the right location.
We will have a quick briefing on equipment and safety features, starting at 9:45, and then assist you on getting out onto the water. All kayaks and gear must be back to location by 2:00 pm where you can sit and enjoy some hamburgers and or hotdogs from the grill, along with a side of pasta salad and some beverages.
No experience is required as we will take the time to explain and assist you as much as possible. Kayaks, fishing equipment, and safety gear are provided.
