The Heroes On the Water North Oregon Coast chapter will be kicking off the 2023 season with our first event on Saturday April 8th. If you’re active duty or retired military or First Responder and would like to join us for a day of kayak fishing the event will be held at Coffenbury Lake in Fort Stevens State Park, Warrenton, Oregon. We will begin at 09:00 and conclude at 15:00 with a light lunch being provided by HOW-NOC. There will be at least 8 kayaks available for participants.
We look forward to continuing to serve those who have joined us in the past and to introducing new people to the activity that we love. Participants do not need to have previous experience on kayaks or fishing and will only need to bring a valid Oregon fishing license with them as well as dress for the weather (no cotton clothing. Man-made fabrics work best as they don’t hold water and will dry quicker if you get wet). We will provide all the necessary equipment training, guidance and an experienced guide to help you enjoy the day.
Volunteers will be required to pay the $5 day use fee per vehicle; participants will not. This will be paid by HOW-NOC.
Please take a ticket to reserve your spot.
Also we will be using online waivers this year. They can be found here:
Please make sure to have these filled out before the event.
We will be at the boat ramp this year to make things easier getting in and out of the water.
