We understand the unique challenges of transitioning from military service to civilian life\, often characterized by feelings of isolation and emotional distress. Even those who have been away from the uniform for years still face life events and circumstances that may be stressful. DESCRIPTION:Kayak Fishing Outings by chapter volunteers. Volunteers to arrive at least (2) two-hours prior to event time to setup. Waivers required.\n\n\nA kayak\, PFD\, fishing gear\, and fishing permit provided by Heroes on the Water Northwest Chapter. No experience necessary. \nVolunteers must arrive at least 2-hours prior to event time for setup. Teardown takes approximately 2-3 hours after lunch. Lunch served between 12:30 PM – 13:30 PM. \nParticipants are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to event time to secure kayak reservations and outing prep. Please arrive on-time or notify us in advance of any changes or concerns. \nWear Shoes & Clothes you do not mind getting wet and dirty. Bring a towel and change of clothes in case you’ll need it. Bringing a cooler\, sun protection\, and portable chair or picnic blanket not required but recommended. We will provide the necessary gear for those with reserved kayaks. We do not have fishing gear for small children but we do have lifevest for them. \nLunch provided for registered attendees. Drinking water and snacks provided. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions we recommend bringing your own snacks and or lunch but if allowed sufficient notice we will do our best to accommodate. We will have a banner up at the pavilion as well to identify that you will be at the right location. \nWe will have a quick briefing on the equipment and safety features starting at 9:45 and then assist you on getting out onto the water. All kayaks and gear must be back to location by 2:00 pm where you can sit and enjoy some hamburgers and or hotdogs from the grill along with a side of pasta salad and some beverages. \nNo experience is required as we will take the time to explain and assist you as much as possible. DESCRIPTION:Join the Lowcountry chapter of Heroes on the water for a day of fishing and fun on the water as we help each other heal 1 cast at a time.\n\n\nCome join the Lowcountry Chapter of Heroes on the Water for a Fun day of Kayaking and Fishing in our South Carolina waterways. As always\, all HOW-Lowcountry events are free to attend for Veterans\, Active Duty Service members\, First Responders\, and their families. All locations are TBD by weather and water conditions. \nOur event will run from approximately 0800 to1300. Please arrive 30 minutes early to receive your fishing gear\, instructions\, and safety brief\, so we can get you on the water and fishing as quickly as possible. You will be paired up with a HOW volunteer for the event. DESCRIPTION:Kayak Fishing Outings by chapter volunteers. Volunteers to arrive at least (2) two-hours prior to event time to setup. Waivers required.\n\n\nA kayak\, PFD\, fishing gear\, and fishing permit provided by Heroes on the Water Northwest Chapter. No experience necessary. \nVolunteers must arrive at least 2-hours prior to event time for setup. Teardown takes approximately 2-3 hours after lunch. Lunch served between 12:30 PM – 13:30 PM. \nParticipants are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to event time to secure kayak reservations and outing prep. Please arrive on-time or notify us in advance of any changes or concerns. \nWear Shoes & Clothes you do not mind getting wet and dirty. Bring a towel and change of clothes in case you’ll need it. Bringing a cooler\, sun protection\, and portable chair or picnic blanket not required but recommended. We will provide the necessary gear for those with reserved kayaks. We do not have fishing gear for small children but we do have lifevest for them. \nLunch provided for registered attendees. Drinking water and snacks provided. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions we recommend bringing your own snacks and or lunch but if allowed sufficient notice we will do our best to accommodate. DESCRIPTION:Join the Lowcountry chapter of Heroes on the water for a day of fishing and fun on the water as we help each other heal 1 cast at a time.\n\n\nCome join the Lowcountry Chapter of Heroes on the Water for a Fun day of Kayaking and Fishing in our South Carolina waterways. As always\, all HOW-Lowcountry events are free to attend for Veterans\, Active Duty Service members\, First Responders\, and their families. All locations are TBD by weather and water conditions. \nOur event will run from approximately 0800 to1300. Please arrive 30 minutes early to receive your fishing gear\, instructions\, and safety brief\, so we can get you on the water and fishing as quickly as possible. You will be paired up with a HOW volunteer for the event.
